Application Note: Benchmarking of the Microsart^® AMP Mycoplasma Kit with Products of Two Other Suppliers

Among the world’s smallest bacteria Mycoplasmas are capable of independent reproduction and thus contamination of cell cultures remains a major problem. A sensitive routine testing for contamination of cell cultures is essential.  With several different PCR kits to detect mycoplasma available, we benchmarked the Microsart^® AMP Mycoplasma kit against products of two other suppliers.
